Globacom on Thursday rewarded a Bolt driver, Japhet Egbede, with a brand new car in the Joy Unlimited Extravaganza Promo.
Other people got home appliances at the final prize presentation of the Joy Unlimited Extravaganza Promo in Lagos State.
Olumide Oguntimehin, Regional Sales Manager, Globacom, said at the event that the company had kept its promise to reward subscribers with over 500,000 prizes.
Oguntimehin said that the company does not only empower, but adds value to its subscribers’ economic and social lives.
He said that the rewards so far include 15 brand new cars and thousands of home appliances such as generators, refrigerators and television sets, as well as Glo freebies, including data plans.
The Manager said that the Bolt driver, Egbede, was the 15th car winner as 14 lucky subscribers had earlier won such gift.
Oguntimehin said: “We are glad that we have kept faith with our promise, from Lagos to Enugu, Port Harcourt to Kaduna, Abuja to Jos, Benin to Warri, Ibadan to Ilorin and Onitsha to other cities.
“We held prize presentation ceremonies to hand over the items won to the winners and put smiles on the faces of our subscribers and their families.
“The winners cut across different fields of endeavour: students, businessmen and women, contractors, workers, civil servants, artisans clerics, engineers, small scale traders, all benefitted from the promo.”
According to him, in the last 18 years, Glo has adopted a resonant strategy of connecting its subscribers to the most innovative products and services.
Also speaking at the occasion, Jude Idimogu, representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, lauded Glo for its contributions to the nation.
Idimogu said that the company was not only empowering subscribers, but also creating employment and retaining revenue within the country.
Appreciating the gesture, winner of the car, Egbede, was full of excitement and thanked Glo for the empowerment.
He said he had become a boss of himself as he would continue with the Bolt business with his car and not on rentals anymore.
Egbede said that it was a dream come true from an unexpected situation.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Glo had on October 28, 2021 launched the Glo Unlimited Extravaganza to reward all its subscribers during the Yuletide and beyond.
