Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, has emerged the Glo-CAF Africa’s Women and Young Player of the year.
Oshoala, who is fondly called Superzee, beat her compatriot, Desire Oparanozie, and Annette Ngom of Cameeoon to the Woman player of the year award.
The Rivers Angels player also beat Uchechi Sunday and Cameroon’s Fabrice Ondoa to the Young Player to pick her second award of the night.
The Lagos born player banged in seven goals to win the Fifa U 20 Women World Cup Most Valuable Player.
She also played a vital role in Super Falcons Africa Women Championship win in South Africa.
In other categories, the Super Falcons beat Falconets and the Lionesses of Cameroon to the Women’s team of the year, the Desert Warriors of Algeria picked the Men’s team of the year award, the club of the year went to ES Serif for winning the CAF Confederation Cup, Algeria’s Yacine Brahimi won the most promising player of the year award, while ES Setif handler, Vahid Halilhodzic, was adjudged the coach of the year.
