Olamiju, the son of a late Oyo State Governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, has won the House of Representatives seat for Ogbomoso Federal Constituency seat.
He was declared the winner of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the early hours of Sunday.
Olamiju, a former Chairman of Ogbomosho North Local Government Area, INEC announced, polled 33,268 votes to beat his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olufemi, who scored 27,126 votes.
The Returning Officer for the constituency, Prof. Akeem Salami, declared Olamiju the winner following the announcement of the results.
