The gunmen, who were reported to have operated on motorbikes, attacked villages such as Mararrabar Maigora, Kura Mota, Unguwar Rimi and others yet to be confirmed as at press time starting from Tuesday night.
There has been growing tension in parts of the North over violent attacks by Fulani herdsmen.
Only on Tuesday did the Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam, say that he was attacked alongside his convoy by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
