The duo of Nduka Ugbade and Rafiu Yusuf stormed Stade Caroline Faye, M’bour on a spy mission on the Flying Eagles likely opponents in the semi finals at the ongoing African Youth Championship in Senegal.
Ugbade, an assistant coach to the Flying Eagles, was accompanied by the leader of delegation and a member of Nigeria Football Federation technical department, Yusuf, on the mission.
The team’s media officer, Samm Audu, who gave this hint, said the duo left behind the Head Coach, Manu Garba, and his team in Dakar in order to witness the second games in Group B.
Audu said the idea was to provide the technical crew with insights on pattern of play of their likely opponents and also to design a strategy to neutralise them in the last four.
He said: “The technical crew and the boys are working very hard to ensure they emerge victorious in all games in this tournament. So, that is why the experienced two hands went ahead to study the teams in the other group and give the head coach a report so that strategies can be mapped out in our subsequent matches.”
