Still basking in the euphoria of their FIFA U20 New Zealand 2015 qualification, members of the Flying Eagles team took time to enjoy the serenity at the swimming pool side at their prestigious Hotel Al Afifa in Dakar, Senegal.
Just as the saying goes that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, the team’s Head Coach, Manu Garba, believes swimming will support the players flexibility on the pitch and also put them in an improved mental state ahead of the remaining games at the African Youth Championship.
“We have been drilling the boys in our training and we believe they deserve some rest after their brilliant display in the previous games. Don’t forget that swimming is also another form of exercise and help the players in their game,” Manu opined.
The team battles familiar foes, Cote d’ Ivoire, in their final group game in M’bour on Saturday.
