Most of the offices at the National Stadium, Lagos were under lock on Monday as the stadium was flooded due to a heavy rainfall.
A check showed that most workers of the federations could not gain access to their offices as a result of the flooding.
At about 12:30pm, only five of the 35 federations’ offices were functioning.
A secretary of one of the federations, who pleaded anonymity, said that most of the workers could not resume early due to the rainfall.
The secretary said: “The stadium is still very empty because the rain came suddenly and everywhere is flooded.
“Most members of staff are yet to come to work.
“Besides, most of the members of staff fixed their annual leave for July because it is the peak of the rainy season.
“For now, there is not much to be done anyway because of the rain.
“That is probably why many members of staff did not resume early.”
