There was a fire outbreak at the fuel dump belonging to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria at the Murala Mohammed Airport area in Lagos State.
The fire, which was noticed about 10:40am on Tuesday, at the Domestic Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, caused panic though nobody was reported dead or affected by the inferno.
Investigations revealed that the fire broke out while work was going on to fix the dump.
It was gathered that the fire raged for about 10 minutes before it was put out by combined efforts of the workers at the scene.
Reacting to the incident, the General Manager, Corporate Communications of FAAN, Yakubu Dati, who was at the scene, said the incident will be investigated as officers hurriedly put out the fire to prevent further spread.
