Father arraigned for sexually violating daughter

A 45-year-old man, Udoh Moses, has been arraigned before an Ogba Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State for allegedly defiling his 15-year-old daughter in 2013.
The Investigative Police Officer, Inspector Folashade Ajayi, told the court that the accused, residing at 45, Osundiya Street, Merian, Lagos State, defiled his daughter when she was 15 years old by inserting his manhood into her vagina.
Ajayi said the accused committed an offence punishable under section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, T.O. Shomade, denied the accused bail and adjourned the case till February 26, 2018.
