The Super Eagles camp in Brazil is currently divided over ethnic lines and loyalty to some personalities.
Our correspondent learnt authoritatively that an assistant coach of the team is the leader of the Northern group in the camp.
The group comprises the Jos boys: Mikel Obi, Gabriel Reuben, Ahmed Musa and Ogeyi Onazi.
Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, is said to be bitter that some of the players envy his success in the team and have vowed to deny him passes to get goals.
Some other players like Efe Ambrose have sympathy for Emenike to form a caucus in camp.
The recent statement of Coach Stephen Keshi that Osaze Odemwinge did not play to instruction was painful to the Stoke player, who is now sulking.
In the match against Iran, our source said the division in the team manifested heavily as the Northern group failed to give Emenike any pass.
The Captain, Joseph Yobo, is also said to have his own sympathisers who are working towards ensuring the Norwich player hit his 100 caps mark for the team.
A source told The Eagle Online in Brazil: “What is going on in the camp is very sad.
“Players move in groups, hold secret meetings and some don’t talk to one another.
“It is not a good thing for a national team at all.
“There are various divisions in the team and it shows during their games.”
