Former Super Eagles defender, Sanni Abraham Abacha, is dead and has been buried according to Islamic rites.
Abacha, who also played club football with Kwara United and Enyimba International, was hale and hearty as at the close of the ABS and Nasarawa United match on Wednesday, which he watched.
The Kogi born ex-player was said to have slumped later in the night and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Ilorin, Kwara State where he finally gave up the ghost.
Late Abacha, 35, a Pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ilorin before is demise, is survived by a pregnant wife, Bisola, and three children – two boys and a girl.
After his retirement from active football, Abacha founded Shining Stars Football Club, a club he was nursing until his death.
He was buried on Thursday at the Ilorin East public cemetery, Oke-Oyi, after a church service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Sabo Oke in Ilorin.
