Details of the meeting between the reinstated Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, and the commanders of security outfits in the state on Saturday have been revealed by sources present at the meeting to Daily Trust.
The Eagle Online recalls that Emir Sanusi II returned to the palace in the early hours of Saturday after his reinstatement.
The Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, who was among those that escorted the Emir to the palace at about 1am on Saturday, reinstated him four years after he was sacked by the administration of former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
However, about four hours after he arrived in the palace, the deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, who had been banished, returned to Kano city and went to Nasarawa, the second palace of the emir.

This led to tension and a series of meetings by security chiefs with the parties involved in the unfolding drama.
At the meeting with Sanusi on Saturday were the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Usaini Gumel; Director, Department of State Services, Kano State; Brigade Commander, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General MA Sadiq; and Commandant, Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, ML Falala.
According to Daily Trust, a source present at the meeting at the Gidan Rumfa Palace said Governor Yusuf allowed the security chiefs to have an audience with Sanusi alone.

The source said the security chiefs informed Sanusi about the decision to enforce the court order stopping his reinstatement.
The source said: “The emir, who spoke for over an hour during the meeting, told us that what the state government had done was justice against the injustice meted out to him in the past.
“He told us that he had not seen the court order we were referring to, describing it as a media court order until he sees it.”
