The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, has returned home from the United Kingdom where he went for treatment after an attack on his convoy in January left no fewer than four persons dead and several others injured, including two of his sons, Sanusi Ado Bayero and Aminu Ado Bayero.
Bayero was flown into Kano on Wednesday by a jet in the fleet of the Nigeria Air Force.
The plane arrived at about 7pm.
At the airport to receive the Emir were government functionaries, traditional title holders, businessmen and artisans.
Bayero’s two sons, who were injured in the attack, also returned with him.
They were flown abroad on January 21, 2013.
