The Ekiti Sports Council on Thursday said it was ready to hold it maiden Chief Ade Ayayi Traditional Sports (Ayo Olopon) competition from June 8 to June 10.
The Head Coach of Traditional Sports in Ekiti, Abimbola Sunday, made disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Ado-Ekiti said.
Abimbola said that the competition, being organized in conjunction with Traditional Sports Association, would be open and would hold at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti.
He explained that both male and female players were expected to obtain a registration form with N500 to enable them to participate in the competition.
Abimbola said the competition which was proudly sponsored by the Chairman of Ekiti Traditional Sports Association, Chief Ade Ayayi, was to discover talented players.
He said all interested participants were expected to collect the registration form on or before June 7, to enable them to participate in the competition.
Abimbola said that undisclosed cash prizes would be given to the first, second and third place winners.
