EFCC quizzes, releases Nyako

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday briefly detained and quizzed a former Governor of Adamawa State, Alhaji Murtala Nyako.
Nyako reported to the EFCC on Monday of his own accord.
This was after he returned to the country on Saturday.
Nyako was declared wanted by the EFCC days after he was removed from office by the state’s House of Assembly on July 16, 2014.
He then left the country only to return on Saturday.
He turned himself in to the EFCC on Monday.
The spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, said Nyako was granted administrative bail.
Uwujaren said Nyako, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress before his removal by the Adamawa State House of Assembly, was granted bail based on his age and health.
