Available information has it that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last governorship election in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
According to sources, Omisore was arrested on Sunday in Abuja for allegedly collecting N1.3 billion from the Office of the National Security Adviser for the prosecution of his election.
Omisore, who said he was yet to be invited as at last week by the EFCC, was declared wanted by the anti-graft agency over the case.
Money released by a former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, was reportedly traced to Omisore’s account.
