The Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on Monday rewarded scores of the state’s athletes that won medals at the Eko 2012 National Sports Festival.
Each of the gold medalist got N1 million cash reward.
Also, N300,000 was given to silver medalists while bronze winners got N200,000 reward.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sports development.
Oshiomhole said further that the cash reward was in fulfilment of his earlier promise.
