The Super Eagles on Thursday night arrived in Philadelphia, Florida in the United States of America for its next phase of camping and friendly international matches as part of their build up for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The 30-man squad of Coach Stephen Keshi all left London after the 2-2 draw against Scotland at Fulham’s Craven Cottage.
Meanwhile, contrary to some media reports to the effect that Sunday Mba was out of the World Cup-bound team, we can report that he was part of the Eagles team that jetted out of London for the double headed friendlies in the USA on June 3 and 7 against Greece and USA.
As exclusively reported by The Eagle Online on Wednesday, Mba teamed up with his teammates after arriving London through France.
He missed the friendly against Scotland due to the expiration of his passport, which left him stranded for days in Nigeria before he was issued a new document.
Mba got a rousing reception at the team’s hotel after arriving camp late on Wednesday.
Speaking from London, Mba said: “I am happy to join my team mates.
“Now that I’m here, I hope to make the World Cup team.
“The dream of every player is to play in the World Cup.
“So I’m ready to fight for a place in the team.
“I’m happy that the coach has given me the chance to prove myself, so I won’t let him down.”
