The Plateau State Government has confirmed that the casualty figure of those who lost their lives in Sunday night’s twin blasts has increased to 44.
This was contained in a statement jointly issued by the National Emergency Management Agency, Plateau State Emergency Management Agency and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on Monday.
The statement indicated that 48 people were also injured and two churches torched by angry youths in the metropolis.
The state government has however called on citizens to remain calm, promising that government and security agencies were making efforts to avert further break down of law and order.
