Seven more people have died from the outbreak of Cholera in Enugu State.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Ikechukwu Obi, confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday.
Obi, who confirmed the initial development when seven persons were reported dead in the artisan market in Enugu, said the number of fatalities had now risen to 14.
The new fatalities are amongst the 19 others who were hospitalised after exhibiting severe cholera symptoms.
Obi said the state continues to make plans to forestall the spread by carrying out more sensitisation on safety and hygienic practices.
