The Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Hajj Commission, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has urged Nigerian Muslims to sustain the spirit of unity, sacrifice, and obedience that Ramadan comes with as they mark the Eid el-Fitr.
This was contained in a special Sallah message personally signed by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON on Sunday.
Noting that the listed virtues are the essence of humanity, Prof. Usman added: “We give gratitude to them for granting us the strength and patience to observe it to the end.
“May we live to witness many more Ramadans.
“Eid comes at a critical time to us in NAHCON, time when we intensify preparations for the 2025 Hajj.

In the light of this and the positive aura of Ramadan, I humbly appeal for the continued prayers and support of all stakeholders – intending pilgrims, State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards/Agencies/Commissions, Private Tour Operators, and the general public – for the Commission to deliver a smooth and well-organised Hajj that we all yearn to witness.”
Usman disclosed that NAHCON has made adequate arrangements for a well coordinated Hajj, adding: “Our prayer and appeal is for cooperation from all quarters in any small or big way possible.”
He congratulated Muslims all over the world on this blessed occasion of Eid el-Fitr.
While congratulating the Muslims on the occasion, Prof. Usman prayed Allah to accept “our fasts, prayers, and good deeds in exchange for Jannatul Firdaus, and may He grant us a successful Hajj season this year. Eid Mubarak!”
