Dalung in best position to resolve NFF crisis – Adamu, Ekeji

Two former Directors General of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Amos Adamu and Dr. Patrick Ekeji, on Monday said the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, is in the best position to resolve the crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation.
Adamu and Ekeji said Dalung stood the best chance of calling the warring parties, Amaju Pinnick and Chris Giwa, to order.
Pinnick and Giwa are both laying claim to the presidency of the NFF.
Giwa on Thursday obtained a court injunction, which was interpreted to mean his proclamation as the president of the NFF and the sacking of Pinnick.
On Sunday, Giwa also announced a new Board for the NFF and sacked all contract staff, except one.
But speaking on Monday, Adamu and Ekeji urged Dalung to move in swiftly.
They said both parties could be called to resolve their differences in the interest of the country’s football.
They said if this is not done on time, the world football governing body, FIFA, could step in and that will result in a ban for Nigeria.
Adamu and Ekeji said Giwa and Pinnick must be willing to shift grounds.
Adamu said: “It is not winner takes all.
“They should determine what Giwa wants so that we can move forward.”
