The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Alhaji Dikko Inde, has lost his father, Alhaji Abdullahi Inde, 93.
This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday by the Service’s Public Relations Unit.
The statement said that Inde died in his home town, Musawa in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State on Friday night after a protracted illness.
It said that the funeral prayer of the late Inde was scheduled for 11am on Saturday in Musawa town according to Islamic rites.
The deceased is survived by 23 children, including the Controller-General of Customs, Dikko Inde.
According to the statement, Alhaji Inde was a member of the House of Representatives in the First Republic.
Until his death, Inde was the holder of the revered traditional title of Magajin Garin Musawa.
