COZA: Why Dakolos’ Pastor deleted his posts on social media

The Senior Pastor of Global Impact Church, Yemi Davids, has deleted the posts he made on the social media in relation to the rape allegation of Busola Dakolo against the Global Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo.

They were joined in holy matrimony in Davids’ church, a claim earlier made by Timi Dakolo.
Davids went on Instagram and Twitter after Dakolo disputed claim they got married at COZA.
Davids wrote on Instagram: “Hmmm I feel the need to do this as a husband, father and Pastor. @busoladakolo got married from our church to @timidakolo and as a friend to the family, I’ve been privy to some of the personal struggle Busola has had over the years, based on the details she expressed at the recent interview. This is her truth and it should be honored.
“I commend her for her bravery and I pray this helps her healing process. I also noticed that there was a denial of the allegation. It is important that the truth comes out. Rape is a serious offense and it is unacceptable. A process that unveils the truth in this hurtful situation in the body must begin immediately. We leaders must be accountable and I support at arriving at Justice, Healing and Resolution at this matter. #TruthSetsFree #SayNoToRape.”
Davids also went on Twitter.
However, a check by The Eagle Online on Thursday revealed that Davids had deleted all the posts.
Sources told The Eagle Online that the decision to delete the posts followed the intervention of some senior pastors, led by Rev. Funke Felix-Adejumo, the wife of the founder of Agape Ministries, Rev. Felix Adejumo.
It was gathered that based on his strained relationship with top pastors in his Ilorin, Kawara State based where he started his ministry before moving to Abuja, Fatoyinbo became the spiritual son of the Adejumos.
The pastors in Kwara State were said to have distanced themselves from Fatoyinbo because of the untoward news they were hearing about him.
On two occasions, he was said to have taken choice cars to two of the Kwara State-based pastors, who turned it down.
Sources said this was why when the Dakolo rape case came up, there was no succour for Fatoyinbo from his home base.
It then took the intervention of pastors from other parts of the country, led by Mrs. Felix-Adejumo, to intervene.
She was said to have persuaded Davids on the need to drop the social media posts.
