The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday promised to get a lawyer from the Legal Aid Council to defend the alleged mastermind of the October 1, 2010 twin bomb blast in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Charles Okah.
Okah dispensed with the services of his lawyer, Festus Keyamo.
Okah had been represented by Keyamo since the commencement of the case four years ago.
A lawyer from Keyamo’s law firm, John Ainetor, disclosed this to the trial judge, Justice Gabriel Kolawole, at the last adjourned date.
On Thursday, Okah was in court but had no counsel to defend him when the case came up.
Owing to this, the court had to adjourn till February 19 and 25, 2015, with a promise to get Okah a lawyer through the LAC.
