The Association of Chairmen and Managers of the Nigeria Premier League clubs (Club Owners) have welcomed the new Sports Minister and the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Tamuna Danagogo, on his appointment.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Acting Chairman, Barrister Isaac Danladi, and Acting Secretary, Alloy Chukwuemeka, the club owners said his appointment was well deserved considering his track record as a seasoned administrator and a commissioner in his native Rivers State, where he was adjudged to have done well in different portfolios.
The club owners also identified his sound educational background as key to the envisaged knowledge expected of him to bring to bear in transforming the sports sector.
The minister was also urged to see sports as the biggest unifying factor in the country, just as they advised him to identify and carry along all the relevant stakeholders in the sports industry for him to excel.
The club owners wished the new minister a successful tenure and prayed God to grant him the wisdom to succeed on his assignment.
