Twenty-two senior staff of the Budget Office in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning have been redeployed to other Ministries, Departments and Agencies in a renewed effort to reposition the Federal Civil Service in Nigeria for effective service delivery.
In the redeployment, which has affected 184 senior staff service-wide, four Directors, six Deputy Directors and 12 Assistant Directors have been posted out of the Budget Office, while 14 senior staff have been redeployed from other MDAs to inject new life into the Budget Office.
A circular from the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation directed the affected officers to report at their new duty posts on Friday (today).
When contacted on the development, Akpandem James, the Media Adviser to the Budget and National Planning Minister, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, confirmed the redeployment of the Directors of the Budget Office, but declined further comments.
