Two persons are reported to have died in an accident in the early hours of Sunday in Lagos.
According to information available to The Eagle Online, the accident occurred at about 3am along Oshodi-Ilasa Road.
It was gathered that the accident involved a commercial bus, popularly known as Danfo, and a truck bearing gravel.
The Danfo was carrying vegetable oil.
The gravel bearing truck was said to have run into the Danfo.
The two drivers were seriously injured.
The motor boys were trapped inside the vehicles for about one hour before being rescued.
While the policemen from Ilasa Police Divisional Headquarters, led by Titilayo Oriyomi, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Lagos State Fire Service were evacuating the injured, removing the damaged vehicles and controlling traffic occasioned by the accident, another Danfo driver, who refused to obey signal to reduce speed, summersaulted.
The conductor and a passenger died on the spot, it was learnt.
The driver equally rammed into a policemen and broke his leg.
