The President General of the Nigeria Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has declared Monday as the day for commencement of the 2024 Ramadan in Nigeria.
Abubakar, also the Sultan of Sokoto, made the declaration on Sunday night.
This followed the confirmation of the sighting of the crescent by the National Moon Sighting Committee on Sunday.

The NSCIA President General, who spoke from his Palace in Sokoto, wished Muslim faithful a successful Ramadan period.
