The Senate on Wednesday threatened to shut down sitting if the Independent National Electoral Commission fails top conclude the outstanding elections in Rivers State by December 10.
This is coming a day after the House of Representatives mandated INEC to conclude the elections.
There are both National and State Assemblies elections outstanding in the state.
The elections have been postponed several times owing to security concerns.
At plenary on Wednesday, the Senate said it would stop sitting by December 10 until the elections are concluded.
