The Senate on Wednesday postponed the quizzing of Service Chiefs over insecurity till February 13, 2024 to accommodate everyone involved in the management of security in the country.
The Senate had last week fixed today for quizzing the Service Chiefs over the rising insecurity in the country.
But the Senate at the plenary session postponed the meeting scheduled for today till February 13, 2024 to invite other stakeholders for the meeting.

Those expected to be part of the expanded meeting are all Service Chiefs, National Security Adviser, Finance Minister, Interior Minister, Defence Minister, Minster of State for Defence and the Minister of Police Affairs.
The motion for the adjournment of the security briefing by the Service Chiefs was moved by the leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, and was seconded by the minority leader of Senate, Senator Abba Moro.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, while approving the adjournment, noted that the Senate would like a holistic deliberation on insecurity.
