Chris Iziguso has emerged as the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
The new president emerged at the Triennial Delegates Conference of the NUJ in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Iziguso, with over 20 years experience in journalism, defeated the incumbent, Abdulwaheed Odusile.
The results, as announced by the Returning Officer, Benson Upah, has it that Isiquzo polled 346 votes, while Odusile had 329 votes.
Other contenders: Dele Atunbi polled 101 votes; Abiodun Olalere, 56; Jacob Edi, 16; and Mike Aladenika, 8 voted.
Odusile has already congratulated the winner.
