Breaking: Nine of nine: Atiku wins Rivers by wide margin

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the February 23, 2019 election in Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has been declared as the winner of the election in Rivers State.

Abubakar was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission as having scored 473,971 votes.

His closest rival was the incumbent and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, who scored 150,710 votes.

With the result from Rivers State in, the entire 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory have been covered.

This was the ninth state after INEC resumed from its break at about 8:30pm.

Earlier, 27 states and the FCT had their results declared.
