The three officials of the Osun State Government, who were kidnapped in Kogi State on Thursday have been released.
The officials, according to a press statement by the Osun State Head of Service, Sunday Olayinka Owoeye, were freed by their kidnappers on Sunday evening.
Those kidnapped were Bimpe Ogunlumade, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance; Tajudeen Badejoko, Director of State Audit; and the Driver to the Auditor-General of the State, Oladapo Ajani Arogundade.
Owoeye said as at the time of issuing the press statement, arrangements were being made to convey them to Osogbo, the Osun State capital, within the shortest possible time by security agents with a view to re-uniting them with their families and relations.
