Nigeria’s men football Olympic team, Dream Team VI, on Wednesday succumbed to Germany in the semifinal.
The match, which lacked the sparkle of previous matches played by the Dream Team, was won by two goals by the Germans.
The first goal was scored in the 10th minute.
The second goal was scored by Nils Peterson in the 88th minute.
While Germany goes on to play Brazil in the final, the Dream Team, captained by John Mikel Obi, will play Honduras for the bronze medal.
Brazil had in an earlier semifinal game drubbed Honduras 6-0.
