Nambia’s Brave Warriors have expressed their readiness to give the African Champions, the Super Eagles, a run for their money when hostilities begin on Wednesday at the Independent Stadium, Windhoek.
The Namibian team will file out against the Super Eagles without their manager, Roger Palmgren, who quit his post on Sunday due to alleged threat to his life.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian team have not lost in their last 16 games, which leaves their host to do the almost impossible.
Last time out in Calabar, Cross River State, the Eagles had to wait till the 80th minute to get the winner.
Last Wednesday in Nairobi, it took all of 80 minutes for Ahmed Musa to nudge the Eagles in front.
Also against Kenya in April, the Eagles took 93 minutes to get the equalizer against the Harambee Stars.
Coach Stephen Keshi is expected to send out his team in his favoured 4-3-3 formation while the Warriors should begin in a 4-4-2 formation, with the two upfront expected to join in the midfield battle and crowd out their Nigerian opponents.
The Warriors need to win their last two games to stand any chance of topping the group and qualifying for the last round of qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup.
They are currently third on the log with four points from four matches.
