In his remarks, Chibuisi commended officers and men of the theatre and critical stakeholders of the Operation Hadin Kai for their contributions to the successes recorded during his tenure.
He said: “I consider the opportunity to serve as your Commander for the past six months an honour and a rare privilege.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and the Service Chiefs for finding me worthy to serve in this capacity.
“As members of this noble profession of arms, we have dedicated ourselves to serving and protecting our dear nation.
“I appreciate all of you for your doggedness and support in our fight against the enemies of the nation in the North-East.”
Chibuisi urged the soldiers to sustain the tempo and extend similar support to the new Commander to enable him to achieve more successes in clearing remnants of the terrorists and enhance peace restoration to the region.
Shuaibu said that he would sustain the tempo and build on the feat achieved by his predecessor.
He described his appointment as an opportunity to serve, adding that his role was to galvanise the officers and men towards achieving the mandate of the operation.
”So, we will just go ahead to enhance our ongoing operations, and ensure that officers and men do what they are supposed to do,” he said.
Highlights of the event were the presentation of the MultiNational Joint Task Force Command’s flag to the new Commander.
