Atiku to Nigerians: Expose me if I am corrupt

Former Vice President and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar, has again challenged Nigerians to expose him if he has engaged in any corrupt practice.
Writing on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Abubakar was specific about being exposed for any corrupt practice while he served in the Nigeria Customs Service.
Abubakar was a Customs officer before retiring to go into business.
Several Nigerians, including his former boss, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, have accused the former Vice President of being corrupt without substantiating the allegations.
Probe panels set up in the past to probe Abubakar directly and indirectly have failed to return a guilty verdict.
Tweeting on Wednesday, Abubakar said: “Do you have any evidence of corruption or wrong doing during my time in Customs?
“Please bring it forward.
“#TheAtikuChallenge.”
The tweet generated debate as such had in the past on the Twitter handle of the Waziri Adamawa.
One person wrote in response: “The amount you got paid as a VP is corruption on its own.”
Abubakar in response said: “Na wa o. Smile.”
Some others, who were replying to Abubakar’s earlier tweet on having become rich before going into government, backed his position that he had several thriving companies prior to 1999 when he emerged vice president.
Ibibia Awoju, tweeting as:‏ @ib4real3, wrote: “I’m actually from Okrika which is close to Onne, and grew up in Phc. Intels has always been a big employer in rivers state.
“I have a frnd currently in the army and from Ogu town, and who started work at Intels. We went to university together.
@ola2all tweeted: “Nicotes which is now Intels has always been a successful company. I come frm the host community and I know.”
