Dr. Olusina Fape, the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Lagos and Bishop of Remo Anglican Diocese, Church of Nigeria, is expected to deliver the 33rd Convocation Lecture of West Africa Seminary, Ipaja, Lagos State on September 9, 2023.
This development was disclosed in a statement by the Director of Administration of the WAS, Dr, Tosin Awolalu, on Monday.
The Theme of the Convocation Lecture is: “Pastoral Leadership and Development of a National Ethos.”
Fape was an alumnus of the prestigious University of lbadan, where he graduated with Second Class Upper before he obtained the Master of Sacred Theology degree from the Yale University Divinity School, New Haven, CT, United States of America in 1990.
Between 1992 and 1996, he was awarded the Langham Trust Scholarship to study for his Ph.D degree in New Testament Studies at the University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom, graduating in 1996.
Dr. Fape is a dedicated Pastor and Teacher whose pastoral and teaching ministries have brought joy to many lives in various churches in Nigeria, USA and UK.
He was formerly a Senior Lecturer at Immanuel College of Theology, Ibadan, Oyo State, where he lectured in New Testament Studies, New Testament Greek, Homiletics and Clinical Theology.
The Most Rev. Fape before his election as Bishop was the Clerical Secretary, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion.

He is the Bishop of the Diocese of Remo, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion; Chairman Church of Nigeria Theological Resource Group; and Archbishop, Lagos Ecclesiastical Province.
Expected at the event are church leaders, captains of industry, Obas and other eminent personalities in the society.
The Provost of the Seminary, Rev. Dr. Dauda A. Gava, is expected to preside over the convocation ceremony.
