Officials of the Lagos State Transport Management Agency and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Response Unit on Wednesday averted another truck disaster in Lagos.
The Wednesday incident was also another case of a tanker fully loaded with petroleum product that almost fell in Mosalasi area of Ipaja, Lagos State.
The officials of LASTMA and LRU were quick to respond to the emergency call as the tanker bent sideways, tending towards falling.
The area was quickly cordoned off, leading to heavy traffic.
It will be recalled that no fewer than 12 persons died and 54 vehicles burnt when a tanker loaded with fuel fell on the Michael Otedola Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway last week.
