The African Youth Championship begins on Saturday with hosts, Algeria, playing Benin in Ain Temouchent.
Defending champions, Flying Eagles of Nigeria, start the quest to retain their title with a clash against Mali the following day in Oran.
The Coach John Obuh-led side is expected to emulate the Super Eagles by bringing the trophy back home.
In spite poor results in some of the pre-tournament games, Obuh has assured Nigerians of a good outing.
The semi-finalists qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup finals to be played from June 21 to July 13, 2013 in Turkey.
