Flying Eagles’ goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu, has completed a-four year move to Portuguese top flight outfit, Estoril Praia.
Alampasu was in goal when Nigeria won their fourth FIFA U-17 World Cup two years ago in UAE, pulling off several saves in the tournament.
Alampasu was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament, winning the Golden Gloves.
The youngster was indeed a shining light in the cadet mundial as his contribution was massive in securing Nigeria a record fourth title.
He has thus joined several of his teammates from that schoolboy team – Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success, Musa Yahaya, Chidera Ezeh, Chidiebere Nwakali, Taiwo Awoniyi and Aliyu Abubakar – who have moved to Europe.
Meanwhile, the goalkeeper will join up with the rest of the Flying Eagles in Abuja on Wednesday (today) as they prepare for the African Youth Championship slated to hold in Senegal next month.
