Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Sunday Dele Alampasu, has expressed total disappointment by some elements who has faulted his transfer move to Portuguese top division side, Estoril Football Club.
Alampasu said: “I am really disappointed with all the news about my transfer to Estoril of Portugal.
“It seems many people are not interested in my development and career but only what they can gain.
“I am a human being and nobody’s property.
“I don’t owe Mr. Adebayo or Mr. Ojo Olanrewaju anything.
“Rather they are the ones that owe me.”
Alampasu spoke in a telephone chat on Thursday.
He said Olusola Orelaja, his agent, has done everything possible to secure the transfer to Estoril FC, after spending time on trial in Belgium with Genk FC, Spain with Oviedo FC and Braga FC.
He added: “He has been spending his own money for flights, hotel, kits and expenses since 2013, even before I went Abuja for the Under 17 national team camp.”
Alampasu stated that Orelaja has also been helping both Ojo Olanrewaju and a certain Adebayo financially during this period, adding: “So I don’t understand why they are talking and making all these allegations in the press against him.
“Yes, Olanrewaju took me to Future Stars at a very young age and I spent four years at the club before Adebayo took me to Abuja Football College without the knowledge of the former, claiming it was for this reason he gave both of them and their families handsome cash rewards after the World Cup.
“I spent only six months with Abuja FC after the 2012 National Sports Festival.
“I was later offered a contract in Mexico after the World Cup, which I turned down.
“My dad was not disposed with the move to Mexico and my agent also.
“Since then, they didn’t come with another offer.
“Now I have a contract with a club, they are not happy with it.”
The young goalie hinted that he signed as a free agent with the Portuguese club.
He said: “I’m going straight into the first team and not the academy and this makes me happy.
“So I am begging all these people to leave me alone to further my career as I still have a lot to learn in the game.”
