Adeshina Gata scored a hat-trick on Wednesday as home side ABS FC of Ilorin crushed Adamawa Feeders 6-3 in a Round of 32 fixtures in the Aiteo Cup Competition.
Gata began the visitors’ routing with just two minutes on the clock when an Adamawa Feeders defender deflected his shot into his side’s net.
He doubled the lead two minutes later when he dribbled past three defenders.
In the 6th minute, Kazil Mohammed capitalised on a defensive error to lob the ball over goalkeeper Yinka Adewale to make the scoreline 2-1.
After dominating proceedings throughout the first stanza to stamp their authority on the game, ABS FC continued from where they stopped after the break with Gata posing so much threat.
He completed his hat-trick in the 53rd minute when he rounded the Adamawa Feeders defence before rolling the ball in for 3-1.
Ibrahim Abdullahi who replaced Orji Ejike in the 56th minute made it 4-1 in the 62nd minute with a good finish, while Martin Ossy made it 5-1 in the 72nd minute.
Adamawa Feeders’ Babangida Salihu scored the first of his brace in the 74th minute, after capitalising on an ABS FC’s defensive lapse to find the back of the net.
He completed his brace when he headed past Adewale from a Yusuf Isa cross in the 85th minute.
Ossy completed the routing for his brace in added time, curling a well-taken shot to the far left of goalkeeper Mamure Amako in goal for Adamawa Feeders.
