The son of late former Governor Olusegun Agagu of Ondo State, Seyi, is among those suspected to have died in Thursday morning’s Associated Airline crash in Lagos.
As first reported exclusively by The Eagle Online, members of the Agagu family were on board the aircraft.
They were going from Lagos to Akure for Agagu’s burial when the crash occurred.
Agagu’s corpse was also on board the aircraft.
Also on board were senior officials of the Ondo State Government who were accompanying the corpse.
Agagu was to be given a state burial.
The wife of the late governor, Feyi; the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; and other members of the Agagu family were already waiting at the Akure Airport in Ondo State to receive the corpse.
The National Emergency Management Agency has confirmed two persons dead.
