The abducted Anglican Archbishop of the Niger Province and former Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Prof. Godwin Okpala, and his driver have been released after 25 days.
The retired Anglican Bishop and his driver were declared missing on December 7, 2024 as they embarked on a trip within Anambra State.

They had set out on the trip from Awka, the Anambra State capital, to Umuchu in Aguata Local Government Area, also in Anambra State.
An Archbishop, who confirmed the freedom of Okpala and his driver, simply stated in a post on Thursday on his Facebook page: “Praise the Lord!”
