The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has forwarded an additional nine names to the Kwara State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners.
This brings to 19 the number of nominees forwarded to the House for confirmation.
This development was contained in a statement by Dr. Muyideen Akorede, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to Governor Ahmed.
According to the statement, Ahmed, in a letter forwarded through the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, thanked the Speaker and members of the Kwara State House of Assembly for the speedy confirmation of the first set of nominees and expressed the hope that the new names will be treated with in the same manner.
It will be recalled that the first set of 10 commissioner-nominees were confirmed by the state House of Assembly last week.
