The family of Alhaji Suleiman Ahmad has denied media reports that the Principal of the Federal Government Collage, Jos, M.K. Manko, has impregnated their 19-year-old daughter, Aisha.
Aisha, who is a final year student of the FGC, was reported in some newspapers (not The Eagle Online) that she has been impregnated by her school principal.
The family said the report is an attempt to “defame the character and image of their daughter and her principal”.
Addressing journalists, Ahmad, the head of the family, who is also the biological father of Aisha, said the reports were mere allegations purported to tarnish the “good moral training of my daughter”.
According to Ahmad, there was no plane by him to marry Aisha to Manko and there is no relationship that could lead to marital engagement between her and the principal, adding: “All I know is that the grandfather of Muhammad Manko and my daughter’s grandfather on the side of her mother were relations.
“When the school was having a boarding house, I made Muhammad to be her guardian.
“And up till now I made him to be her guardian.
“So I can say that is the relationship that exists among them, but not the issue of marriage.
“I know that the principal is very much aware of the rule that says he cannot seek for marital relationship with any of his student and therefore, cannot venture into it.”
On the alleged impregnation of his daughter, the father told our journalists who were at their Ali Kazaure residence on Saturday night: “Aisha is very healthy and had not conceived any pregnancy. Here is she as you can see. Do you see any sign of pregnancy?
“I am challenging anybody that is alleging that my daughter is pregnant, to come and we take her for pregnancy test at the hospital.
“The reports have it that she is 17 years of age but I say they are lying. My daughter is 19 years old, she is matured and will by the 11th of this Month graduate from the Federal Government College.
“I am ready to take to court any media house that reported to defame the name and character of my daughter.”
