Blind strike saves Man U

A late strike from Daley Blind spared Manchester United’s blushes and rescued them a point against West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Alan Irvine’s side started the match brightly and dominated the opening exchanges of game.
And they were rewarded for their bright start in the 8th minute when Stephane Sessengon got on the end of a cross from Liverpool loanee, Andre Wisdom, and smashed the ball into the top corner past the helpless David De Gea.
Louis van Gaal cranked up the pressure on the Baggies, but failed to level the scores before the half-time whistle.
But they levelled the scores through substitute Marouane Fellaini, who neatly controlled a cross from Angel Di Maira before rifling the ball into the top corner.
United grew into the game and dominated the second period, but fell behind to a Saido Berahino strike in the 68th minute.
The Red Devils continued to pile the pressure on the homeside, and were rewarded for their efforts in the 87th minute when new-boy Daley Blind fired home his first goal for the club.
The visitors pressed and pressed for the winner, but they failed to land a late equaliser – and had to settle for a point.
