The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps impounded a truck carrying about 450 vandalised railway sleepers on Tuesday in Damaturu, Yobe State and arrested three suspects.
Its Commandant in Yobe State, Adamu Zakari, paraded the truck and the suspects before newsmen on Wednesday in Damaturu.

“The truck was loaded with 450 railway sleepers with estimated street value of N5.9 million,’’ he said.
Zakari assured that the suspects would be arraigned upon the completion of investigation.
He urged members of the public to report any suspicious movement of persons or goods to the nearest security agency.
